Since it first launched online seven years ago, Perk by Kate has built a name as a lingerie label here for sexy, flattering, and comfortable lingerie, especially for petite women.

Yet for all of its sold-out bralettes, successful pop-ups, and rave reviews, the local brand has never had a permanent shopfront - until this year.

In early February, the new Perk by Kate Lingerie Studio opened on level two of a shophouse along Telok Ayer Street. Accessible only by a narrow flight of stairs next to Plain Vanilla Bakery, it is almost speakeasy-like: inconspicuous, cosy, and with a lot more to it than meets the eye.
