SHEER AND LACE NEVER GOES OUT OF TREND, SAYS DOLCE & GABBANA

For those of you who are in the know, you would know that this first half of the year is filled with 4 Fashion Weeks happening in the 4 major cities: New York, Milan, Paris and London. (Oh, how we wish we could be there!) Major brands showcase their Autumn Winter looks, trying to outdo their personal best, often opening and closing their shows in the grandeur one would be privileged to experience.
Apart from fashion, do you also know that there is a lingerie equivalent of Fashion Week? Salon International de la Lingerie happens in January in Paris, while the Curve Expo happens in March, in the mecca of lingerie, New York. Lingerie brands showcase their collections for the upcoming season, while buyers go into a frenzy taking note of the latest trends as well as planning in their heads what their buy would be according to what customers would like.
While we may not be at the shows in person, we try to keep ourselves updated on the happenings via our trusty friend - Google. :) We like to read wide, simply because it gives us inspiration and ideas we would not get if we had restricted ourselves to just lingerie periodicals. True enough, we saw from a few of the brands that lace & sheer is once again on trend, one of whom is Dolce & Gabbana, who lavishly splurged on the laces in their Autumn Winter 2013 collection. And we of course, can indulge in these visual eye-candies and pair them up with some of our favourite lingerie pieces.

The bralette we thought fit Karlie Kloss's outfit best is Samantha Chang's My Daily Triangle Soft Bra. We thought the black and nude floral laces of this bra complemented the black floral lace and gold motifs of Karlie's outfit.
Full on sheer black always works, so does the sheer overall by Dolce, as well as the Anouk Underwire Bra by Eberjey.
Va-va-voom red and black is always a deadly combination, and we are matching our favourite red lace over black outfit with our favourite Bisou Bisou Kiss Padded Plunge Bra by Mimi Holliday.
If you dare to bare beneath a white dress, dare to bare with the right lingerie piece! What immediately came to our mind is this beautiful piece by Mimi Holliday, a stunning combination of flattering pearl silk satin cups with graphic scalloped lace overlay in classic black.
